Hi my name is Ian and would like to thank you for visiting my site.

I have been collecting Scottish agates for around 4 years now and still get a thrill when i find, or cut open a nice stone.

I,m fortunate to live in Montrose as there are many good hunting spots around such as Scurdie Ness, Usan, Lunan.

Been looking on the net for rockhounder clubs in this area to share some of my experiances, hence the reason for this site.

You can check out some of the equipment i use on the Hobby page, and visit photo page for over 200 scanned images of cut & polished pieces from my own personal collection.

All the stones on this site have been found localy, and have been cut & polished by myself.

The other half of the stone usually gets sold on e-bay this helps to pay for blades, grits etc.
